Hello and welcome to Next Generation Pediatric Therapy where our goal is to provide highly effective, evidence-based speech, language, and feeding therapy. We are passionate about helping our pediatric clients and their families to meet and exceed their potential in order to fully engage in all aspects of daily life. We provide services in your home or community based setting or via telehealth.
My name is Laura Carr, and I look forward to partnering with you and your child in order to meet and exceed all of your speech, language, and feeding goals! I have focused on working with children since early in my educational career. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Studies. I then went on to get a Masters in Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences with an emphasis in pediatrics. I have more than 20 years of experience treating children with a variety of oral motor, speech, language, and feeding needs. We can help your child achieve clear and easy to understand speech through a variety of evidence-based approaches, including PROMPT, DTTC, traditional articulation approaches, and phonological approaches.
We can help your child to improve communication skills across a variety of skill areas, including receptive, expressive, social, and written language.
We have extensive training in a variety of oral motor, feeding, and swallowing disorders and can help your child to more successfully participate in mealtimes with family and friends in order to achieve and maintain healthy patterns of growth and nutrition.
